Camera, photos, and face features

When you use a camera feature, the app accesses the camera you authorize, including a USB camera you choose to connect. Comparison, search, and import read only the photos you select. The app processes camera frames, photos, and face crops on your device and can derive biometric face features for comparison and search. It does not upload this data to HelloFace or third parties.

Previewing or comparing faces does not enroll them in the face library. When you confirm an enrollment or import, the app may save face features, enrollment IDs, groups, labels, and face images needed by the library in private Android app storage. The app disables Android cloud backup and device transfer backup.

Local settings and runtime data

The app uses camera settings, SDK runtime and licensing state, and information such as the Android version and device model on your device. You can choose to copy the device information shown on the home screen. The app does not send it automatically.

Network access, sharing, and support

When you choose to download sample images, the app sends HTTPS requests to sample resources hosted by Cloudflare. The requests include your IP address and ordinary request information needed for the connection. They do not include photos you capture or select, face features, enrollment IDs, groups, or labels. The privacy policy opens the website in your device browser.

The app contains no ads or analytics tracking and does not sell or share face data. If you email us for support, we use your email address and the information you provide to handle and respond to your request. We retain it only as needed to handle the request or meet legal obligations. Please do not send face photos or face features by email.

Retention and deletion

Face library records stay on your device until you delete them from the library, clear HiFaceSDK storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the app. Clearing storage or uninstalling also removes saved 1:1 features and local settings. It does not delete your original gallery photos. You can revoke camera access in Android Settings.

This app is not directed to children. It does not support face recognition for children under 12 and is not for financial use. Use only face data you are authorized to process.
